I was "all knobs right" on John Mayall's "Room To Move" when I broke my "A" string. I don't believe I've ever broken an "A" string before. This one came unwound at the saddle. Time for some new Ernie Ball Power Slinky's.

The D is always the one that goes on my Nightbird. It fails at the ball end. Been so with two bridges/saddles and tailpieces plus different string brands too…no idea why.

Typically when I've broken a string, it's been a high "E" or "B" and during a gig of course, LOL
