Has anyone heard of the clear knobs on 80s guitars, (such as the S250), referred to as "DiMarzio" knobs? Did Guild obtain them from DiMarzio along with the pickups, such as XR7s?
Just curious as I purchased a spare set of 2 on ebay and the seller had them listed as DiMarzio knobs. There was also one S300 tone knob included in the lot.

I have not heard this, but certainly DiMarzio still offers "speed knobs" (the round smooth version): http://www.dimarzio.com/hardware_price_list
So it's well possible they made them for Guild. Hans would most probably know.
The 1982 catalog called them "Guild knurled speed knobs" and didn't mention DiMarzio. This is the type with the little "dimples" around.

Those are the ones.
I am basing the moniker on the EBAY listing that I purchased. It got me thinking that it is a distinct possibility that Guild used DiMarzio for their pups and knobs. Thought it interesting. And another route to explore if a replacement is needed.
