I was changing strings on my Taylor GC8 last night and as I was bringing the 1st string up to pitch, the ivoroid knob on the tuner shattered in 3 pieces and the adjustment screw fell out. Kinda brought the job to a halt. Finished up the other strings. I called Taylor Guitars this morning with my sad story and he looked up the serial number, confirmed my name and address (which had changed) and asked if it was treble side or bass side. And he said, "Okay, Thomas, we'll package up a new tuner for ya and you should get it in a couple of days. Anything else?"

Nope. Thank you Taylor for making life a little easier! :encouragement:

Taylor rocks so long as you are the original owner of the guitar. Glad they took care of you.

The reason I know that is because a local shop used to sell Taylors but they were not a Taylor reseller. That meant to Taylor that if you bought from them that you would be the SECOND owner and not get that kickass support. Sketchy store.
