Incidentally, I've got an extra dread sized one for sale locally if you're looking for a replacement.

Interesting catalog, but it is missing pages A-7 and A-8, which should include the D-25, the D-35, and the G-37.

hello

I looked at that catalogue and on page A2 it says "Deluxe brass clasps and lock" - so I took a magnet to my cases - all but one had iron clasps - all had iron lock plates. The one is either 1975 0r 1977 - both are same size - to be sure I would have to test them with - ok - I measured and found, that F50R 1975 has wider lower bout than F512 1977 - and the one case with non magnetic latches is a bit larger. So at least 1977 & -79 they were brass plated - NOT BRASS.

Hadn't noticed that.

That was great link, thank you!!!
No problem. I think I came across it when I was researching my Ess & Ess case a couple of months ago. I got it with an old MIJ Alvarez 12 string and was pretty sure from the get go that it wasn't original to the Alvarez. Once I started digging I realized it was very likely a Guild 2520 case, although the brand badge is missing.
