Changing strings on a FR isn't necessarily easier, but it's certainly different. It's a LOT easier to put the strings on, but if you replace all the strings at once getting them all to pitch can be frustrating if you've never done it before because every time you tune up a string it pulls the other strings out of tune. You may find yourself tuning 5-6 times and getting annoyed, but just know that it's part of the process. FWIW I tune the guitar then lock the nut as opposed to the other way around. Since you have locking tuners and the locking nut the process may be a bit simpler, but the floating bridge just makes everything more interesting. If the bridge has been blocked (dive bomb only) the tuning process gets easier because you're only fighting one direction of pull.
