So, I've never been a big fan of small bodied guitars and have always enjoyed my Jumbos and Dreads much more. Maybe it's a part of growing older but I have a new appreciation for these smaller bodies Guilds now.

I just picked up a 2015 Orpheum 000 12 fret with Adi top, Mahogany back and sides, Ebony bridge and Board, gloss finish and for me, the part that sealed the deal, a slotted headstock. I just love that look. This may be the lightest Guild I've ever owned but the sound/volume/tone is pretty amazing. It's the real deal.

So, because I don't like small bodies guitars so much I also recently picked up a '66 F 20, a '13 F 30 650th Anniv. (recently discussed), a '94 F 30R, a '18 M 20 and a M 240 E plus a Martin CEO 7 but I've sold that now.

If Eric gets time (and isn't totally fed up with me by now) he will post some pics of the new Orpheum later. I can't tell you how impressed I am with this guitar

Yeah, it is definitely the real deal, Richard. Light as a feather. Big sound. Tone is a little thinner, perhaps, than the big-a$$ jumbos and dreads, but I really love my 12er. Yup, slotted headstock is truly an awesome look.

Enjoy, enjoy!!!!

Richard, I have also been thinking about smaller bodied guitars - F30's in particular. And I agree getting older (and having surgeries!) has something to do with it. We'll see where my thoughts take me.

I am very envious of the '94 F30 you scored!

Yes indeed, that's quite a beauty!

Although I started out with dreads, I've always liked small bodied guitars, and in fact for many years survived solely on a 00-18 Martin & B-25 Gibson (edit: Also had purchased a Guild F-20 & F-30 new in the '70s). Then went back to larger bodies, as well as having smaller ones.

Nothing wrong with covering all the bases!

Sorry folks. I'm afraid I unintentionally told ya'll a big fib. My F 30R I recently picked up is actually a 2000 and not a 1994. Thanks Hans for pointing that out to me.

Congratulations! A rare guitar indeed. But while we are at it, this one is a 2014 (NR) not 2015... New Hartford was closed in May 2014.
