Why do you want to replace it? The differences between the two are: the 1000 is much hotter, at 15.4k and no adjustable pole pieces. The 1100 is low impedence, at 6.6k with adjustable pole pieces. So, you will get a markedly different sound/volume, if that's what you are after.

I am looking for more from the treble strings. The clips that I have heard seem to show the 1100 putting out more volume on the treble strings along with a more full and rounded sound.
