An incredibly talented player. And, from everything I heard, a really great down-to-earth guy. "Yesterday When I was Young" is simply genius.

The "Heavenly Band" just got a whole lot more complete. I was, and still am, amazed at all the instruments he could play and how well he could play them. I think seeing him play the Banjo was my most favorite though. Hope to meetcha some day Mr. Clark

RIP, Roy. Me and my Dad watched Hee-Haw every Saturday together. I think that's largely how I came to appreciate Bluegrass and Country musicians during the Rock-N-Roll era, and Roy was at the top of the heap, he absolutely amazed me.
