Hello folks,

I found this nice blonde X-700 listed in the UK and am in contact with the seller. I've had a couple of X-500s and have wanted an X-700 for awhile.

The serial number, shown in the photos, is FK700238, Westerly label. Based on other forum posts, that would date the guitar to 1998 or 1999. Does that seem correct? Would it be safe to assume that from that timeframe the guitar would be equipped with SD-1s? Does anyone know whether an X-700 from those years would have a soundpost (I know some X-500s did, not sure about X-700s).

I just posted about this in the ebay listings thread. The price seems extremely good. I'm the UK if you need any help with this.

It's not a big deal to install a soundpost if you feel you need one.

Well, the X-700 has landed. I'll post about it, after the holiday madness calms down a bit.

I own FX700237, amazing guitar but no sound post. Dosen't really need it.
