You should have the two holes for the bridge posts in the top of your guitar... right?
No, vintage 50ies and 60ies M-65 and M-75 have true archtop bridges with low profile metal feet that are not fixed to the top. They just stand on top and you can move the entire bridge for intonation.

My 2013 NS M-75 is the same, though I've read that more recent production uses a pinned bridge. The moveable feet make it possible to replace the TOM-ish bridge with a fixed-intonation one, whether wooden or metal.
