I hear Godin is coming out with a line of acoustics.

Funny to read that Godin launches debut line of acoustics...Don't they run Simon and Patrick, Art and Lutherie, and Seagull already : not sure of which ones they actually started (them all I reckon), or which ones they just own, but they are not newcomers (there may be a 4th make - can't remember which one-, as well...).

Epiphone introducing DC Pro....

I saw that too. Good looking electric, probuckers.... Looks like they sort of copied Guild's fret markers.... :numbness:

Well....Guild and Epiphone have just become brand names (and a little intellectual property, most likely) that get sold from one company to the next, but historically, Epiphone had those position markers first.

For those who go to Anaheim, Guild is in room 205AB with Cordoba Music Group and Cordoba Guitars.

They also own the Norman and La Patrie (classical) brands. Although the Godin photos show a truss rod cover at the headstock so that at least is a departure from their normal lineups

Yes indeed, which is why V-block fret markers also appeared on original Gibson Kalamazoo-made Epiphones, such as the Sheraton.

That is an interesting look on the back of the D-260E Deluxe. Not for me, but very different. I do like the look of the wood on the headstock, though.

BTW, no truss rod? I don't see a TRC...

Yay!!!! Looks like the re-introduction of the F-50 and F-412 (under new names) is happening!!! That's awesome.

And this new DS-240 Memoir... Looks like it took some cues from the Orpheum, does it not?

Chaz, I think the parlor size 12 fret slotted "Orpheum" look alike is the P240. The DS240 is the sloped shoulder "J45"... which could also take its cues from the sloped Orpheum I guess.

So these are not made in the USA?
