On Reverb, F30-R, Exlnt Cond, 2011, $1250 plus $50 shipping or Make Offer. HSC included. Listed 4 days ago.
I may buy this. I'm firmly liking smaller OM or 000 sizes now. I think the D-55 is the best sounding guitar on the planet.
Projection, loudness is not a priority. I sing solo mellow songs. Priorities are warmth, balance, a pretty sitka/rosewood tone.

1) I'm wondering how it might compare (balance, warmth)... to my GAD-50, my DV-62 to a D-55?
2) Is this priced about right?
3) Would this have regular or short (under 25") scale?
4) Would this be Standard Series? Would that make a difference?
5) This F-30R is American made, correct?

Thanks for any help/opinions...

If I were to guess, and this is only since I played ONE, F-30 ( not even sure if it was an F-30R ), but I found it a touch weak in the bass department, since it's not a real BIG or deep body. I ended up with an F47R, which improved the low end because it's about as deep as a dread.

Identical to my F-30R standard. Traditional would have among other things the Chesterfield on headstock.

I got mine here, paid maybe $100 bucks less and thought mine was very well bought. Neal knows his stuff!

The only similar sized guitars I have are the Orpheum and the Madeira, (wow what a range), so I can't really A/B but mine sure sounds lovely, not thin at all. I don't think I've put a pick on it more than 3x but it is lively strummed and flat picked, well balanced to my ear....but then again I was an NRBQ fan.

Good seller, good price.

From Neal, (Just to help you along)

One thing that amazes me about the Standard Series is the quality of the wood that was used. This is my third one, and all three have had the most beautiful, heavily-silked tops on them. Other high-end touches include the attractive backstripe on this F-30R. It really makes the rosewood on either side of it pop. Most other makers putting out a "budget-friendly" version of their more expensive models do not include a backstripe, nor do they inlay MOP on the headstock. Add to that red spruce bracing, bone nut, saddle and bridge pins on this F-30R, and wow, there is just a whole lot of value in this guitar.

As previously mentioned, this is a F30R Standard.....1 3/4" nut, 2 5/32" string spacing at the bridge, 25.5" scale

For a U.S. built guitar, a F30R Standard in that price and condition is a bargain. A Martin OM-21 (from that time period with a rosewood fretboard / bridge) would be the closest competition. The F30R Standard looks more high end than the OM-21 as it's trim level seems to set somewhere between an OM-21 and OM-28. Overall I think New Hartford did a bang-up job on these guitars.

It will sound more defined being a triple O
It won't have the depth the others have in the bass but it will sound lovely .

It will be able to hold its own against the others unless it's a dud which happens .

Nothing wrong with nagotiating but price is good .
Go for it 😊

Right - beautiful silking on the top of this model. See post #24 in my link above for photos of the silking on mine. I'm still looking at it in wonder...

Have you bought it yet?

Thanks folks for the helpful responses!
This F-30R is American made.........correct?
I'm also considering a 12 fret 000 Blueridge BR-162....

I just made an offer. Seller has 24 hours to respond. Hard to wait.
The clock is off on LTG Forum. Right now, it's just 3:34 Eastern Time and 12:34 Pacific Time.
And it says I posted this at 8:34 pm....

Here what I really like about this guitar:
great reviews
1 3/4" nut width
small 000 body size (I'd love to have a D-55 but no more dreads for me)
sitka/rosewood (I've never cared for adi tops)
an American made Guild
silking on the top and dark beautiful rosewood on the back
extra string spacing at the saddle
I will improve my status on the LTG Forum by adding a Guild
