One of the things I like on the NS Gold top M75 is the chrome hardware instead of the usual gold plated hardware.

The black M-75 has nickel hardware. Well, the ones made after late 2014 do. Earlier examples had gold hardware.

Thanks. I didn't realize later NS M75 Aristocrat's came with nickle plating. Gold is nice looking but the finish don't seem to hold up over time.

Gold plating tends to be very thin (usually on top of nickel plating) and is relatively soft. I think there is usually a lacquer over the top of this, but even so, it does tend to wear relatively quickly.
