I've posted other pictures over the course of this build, but it really is getting close. Classical copied from Segovia's 1937 Hauser, made by steel string specialist Vince Pawless. Differs from the Hauser with a cedar top instead of spruce and by 80 some years.

Here's a closeup of the Sloane tuners:

The back and sides are Brazilian RW (with a certificate that it was harvested legally), neck Spanish Cedar. I've posted pics of the back, but I don't think I have of the sides:

Anyhow, maybe it will come in time for my birthday (July 2).

She looks nice Brad! With the strings on it, I know it's close. Been wanting to ask you about it, but figured you would post when progress was made. July 2nd, just around the corner.

Been a long time coming. Vince is a steel string luthier, so this is his first (and he says only) classical build, so he took his time. He's told me that it's been fun and he's learned a few things from the project. Two interesting "six degrees of separation" type things, his birthday is also July 2 and he has an aunt with the same name as my mother (Lois Little)!
I sent him a set of nylgut strings, hopefully to approximate the Segovia sound, I'm sure it has more to do with his strings and the guitar than his technique.
Yeah, sure...

I like "hard" strings on my only nylon guitar.
I've always used high tension strings, but going to try a few different ones and see what suits it and me best. I may even try actual gut strings, although the better ones are expensive and apparently don't last long.
