So, I bought this. Might have to drive to RI to get it, and there are no pics of the back, but it looks pretty great and if it is, I think that's a killer price for a pretty uncommon guitar.

Seller has it listed as '60s, but according to Hans' book it's more like a '71.

I saw that one. If my circumstances were different I would have pounced. (I even have a guitarist uncle in RI.)
Glad its staying in the family.

Nice! I don't think I've ever seen that natural finish - I like it!

That's a beauty! I would have pounced on that one in a second. I had a late 60's sunburst model years ago with a pair of Mickey Mouse single coils. Got it at a good price and sold it at a very reasonable price also. I didn't care for the tone of the guitar with the MM pups. Had it had the chrome soap bar "60's Polara" sc pups or HB1's I would have kept it. The nature boy finish is fantastic.

Great hunting GAD!

When I first got Hans' book the STs were the Guild electrics I coveted most, mainly 'cuz I'd never seen one and hadn't even known they existed. Not a big fan of single Florentine cutaways, but I do like me a double-cut! Lookin' forward to the GAD writeup on this one.

I hope you don't like some small detail and must sell it off ! ( to me ) For some reason, that guitar gets my attention.

Well it's not looking good. The seller told me he'd ship it if I paid which I happily agreed to. That was two days ago and no responses since.
