Dropped into the GC in Syracuse yesterday.

Saw it unlatched on the wall.

Pretty...very pretty. I don't remember it looking so awkward as in the picture here...seemed more balanced between the upper and lower bout.

Some think Gibson makes the best burst, some, like I, think NH Guild did. This gives Guild a good run in the burst department

This was pretty. Sounded pretty darned good too.

Very comfortable, very elegant finishes, love the back binding and the sound...loud, full, resonant etc etc.

Used, 2018, $1,000 less than new.

Pondered..gosh pretty guitar....sounds nice...should I? Should I? I can sell the F-512 case queen or the F-412 case queen.

So I gets home and pulls out my Orpheum 12 fret Orchestra.

Very comfortable, very elegant finishes, love the back binding and the sound?????

No contest. Guild wins hands down. And I don't even want to admit how old the strings are.

My Orpheum is pretty...very pretty. Sounds pretty darned good too.

If it were a burst I'd be the happiest man in the world.

Mine looks like this:

Chalk up one win for the good, (Guild), guys.

The Orpheum slot head models are special and very rare. Both 6 and 12 string versions. So you clearly have a winner in such Orpheum model!

I posted a 12 string by mistake from Reverb...it's a lovely 6.

Can't wait to hear what Ray thinks of his

I really like small body Gibsons & Guilds.

Picked up a 2006 limited edition Gibson LG (20 made) recently & it’s quite a sweet little thing - short scale, early 60’s neck profile, jumbo frets - very comfy.

One thing I wish Guild had done more of & would do more of, is short scale necks on acoustics.

I cannot imagine a Gibson L-00 really being comparable to the Orf.

Yeah I guess it is a bit of a giant compared to the Gibson.

They both have what I can only describe as a jewel like quality....obviously both very special guitars

Yup. Love my F-20 and B-25N (still an LG-3 in materials and build). The small 1930s Gibsons are usually fab guitars too…once you get 'em rebuilt (neck reset, braces reglued & such) by someone who gets what they're about.
