2015 J-50 out today
Great guitar.
I spent many hours at the Fillmore West.
I’m not familiar with that Martin. Is it a sig model?
Yes. Diane Ponzio. She was tied to Martin and represented them at trade shows and such. This was her second signature Martin and I think they made just under 80. It Is listed as a jumbo 14 fret to the body but only 16” wide. Italian alpine spruce top with a larger sound hole, forward shifted hybrid “X“ scalloped bracing, Waverly tuners, and Ebony fretboard. Nice sounded and playing guitarI’m not familiar with that Martin. Is it an sig model?
Those are such great guitars
I also seriously love that kind of Gibson label insideYeah...that and my '59 5F1 tweed Champ are the only two pieces of gear from "the old days" that I managed to hang onto. The rest got traded, sold off or stolen, so who knows where the heck it all is...
I saw Buddy Guy at the New Orleans House from about ten feet away.As did I...as well as at The Avalon Ballroom, Winterland, Great American Music Hall, Cow Palace, GG Park Bandshell & Panhandle, The Overcast, Keystone Korner, Oakland Colosseum, Berkeley Community Theater, Provo Park, Mandrakes, Lower Sproul Plaza, The Jaberwocky, Freight & Salvage, New Orleans House, etc..
Lotta good music...
Today I used my Washburn parlour guitar to practice my music homework.
For once, my choice of instrument was deliberate.
I suffer from torn rotators in both shoulders, and aggrievated the left one very badly last night in my summer Tuesday hockey game.
It hurts so much today that the only guitar I can hold and play is the small 12-fret parlour.
And I play again tomorrow, so by Friday, I'll likely be practicing "Blackbird" on a kazoo.
