Just purchased a Guild X-700 and I'm having trouble placing and dating it. It's this one:
My X700 is 16.5" lower bout, 2.5" deep, no master volume, pickup selector is at the top of the body. Serial # is AK170938. I have tried to find the serial # on :

The guitar was just delivered today. It's not essential that I find the year of manufacture, but it is getting me curious. Oh ya-the store says that it was made in Westerly, Rhode Island in 2001, just after Fender bought out Guild, but they have no proof.
