I think I have a 1980 Guild G37MNT Acoustic guitar. Could you possibly give me some insight?

Welcome . . .

The model of your guitar is indeed a G-37, and the letters "NT" indicate that the soundboard is a "natural top".

The guy who previously posted about his G-37 with mahogany-stained back & sides hasn't been around here for awhile.

If you post a photo of the tuners, someone may be able to point you to a suitable replacement.

Thanks for the quick reply, Geoguy, appreciate that.

So NOT mahogany? I think thats what the M stands for on his guitar? mine literally looks identical - though beat up/not mint like his. I will get some pictures to post.

A fellow named Ken Nash might have a tuner for you:

Ken Nash - Guitar Mechanic

It appears your guitar got the mahogany-colored stain on the back & sides, but the letter "M" was omitted from the hand-written model number on the label.

Sorry for your loss. Welcome to a great community. That guitar is cherry for sure and would be a great one to learn a few chords on. Guild arched back guitars are easily among some of their very best models.
