No, not rollers. Those are the same type (but smaller) adjustable pieces like on the 6 string Hagström bridge:

The above picture is not from a Guild but a Hagström guitar. But it shows how the pieces are mounted.
The Starfire IV for instance used that type:

Hagström even had this 8 string version, and here you see that the 8 individual saddle pieces are very narrow compared to the 6 string version:

Hey! I've actually got a spare assembly in my parts bin from a 70's Hagstrom Swede bass -- the metal bit on the right is a neck bolt plate,not part of the bridge. Each individual string saddle attaches to a rail with two little tightening screws (one missing from mine) that also allow for intonation... And actually... until reading through this thread, it never occurred to me that these metal saddles could be used on a Starfire harp bridge (or pre-harp flat-front) and that could be a great way to get some extra intonation mobility! I've been doing a little work on my Starfire lately, so maybe I'll give that a try later and report back. Thanks for the idea!
