NGD Republic Tri-cone Resonator
I jumped off the deep end and bought this... and I am amazed by the quality. A roundneck, it has a copper finished bell brass body with an etched design on the front, sides and back. It's great looking, but most importantly, it sounds great! Set up for finger picking and slide, it is quite easy to play. and it is 1/5 the price of a National. (Which I would have loved to get, but this old retired guy can't afford for a guitar that isn't a Guild... grin!) They're made in China and finished off in Austin TX. Now I'll get to try out the ring slide I picked up.
Something fun to keep me off the streets!

There it is! I have to say, that is an amazingly artistic, beautiful reso, RG! Use it in good health!
Thanks Chaz! I installed a set of Schaller strap locks on her and she is now playable standing or sitting. Weighing in at 9.5 lbs and with that brass body she was sliding right off my lap! (I was afraid she'd fall on my wood coffee table and break the table!)

I just love the shapes on that thing, RG. Is that big "T-bar" (for wont of a better word) over the strings functional? I mean, would you maybe grab the guitar by it? Just wondering.

Had to have another look at the pictures. Way, way cool!

It’s the part of the cover that goes over the T-bridge, the direct connection between the strings and the cones in a tri-cone resonator.
Functional. I wouldn’t grab the guitar by it, but it makes a great hand rest while playing.
