It weighs 2370 pounds and is 21 feet long.  They hunted it for 3 weeks, set numerous traps which he destroyed  , then snared him with steel cables. It required a crane to lift him in to a truck. Then they dumped him in a caged area to be held for a future planned ecotourism park. I think their intentions are noble but who is going to feed and care for this thing in the interim? I think by the time this park is built, if ever, this guy is going to be 300 pairs of boots! :x

Ah!.. Salt water croc is another animal compared to our little gators down here.
I always paddle around a couple of them when I kayak the Loxahatchee river, and glad they're not as big as these monsters... there would be no room for me to squeeze my kayak around them!
Anything over 10 feet here is considered a big one.

You know, the article was a lot more fun when I thought the croc was in Florida...

Sorry to disappoint you Frono. So to makeup for that on behalf of the Florida LTG'ers I'm going to send you a one-way ticket to a beautiful resort island. Ramree Island. I hear the marsh tours are stunning at night.    :p
