RIP Tony Oxley
Tony Oxley was a great UK Jazz drummer, someone who did not shy away from the extremes, as comfortable and skilled with superb, conservative straight Jazz as with the wild outsides of the envelope.
Gone at 85
With Bill Evans and Eddie Gomez in 1972 -- about 16 min.
And at the other extreme, with THE GUITARIST whose name must not be mentioned (No, not Mary, Mary, Quite Contraryversial but worse). Get thee behind me, Derek!! (Ooops, I mentioned it.) -- about 30 min (of total horror).
