Watch yr PayPal purchases, no recourse for up to 180 days

So I branched out a little, bought something on Etsy, then something on Mercari, never heard of it but somebody had a vintage canning jar item I was looking for.

Purchase was on 3-12-20.

I just sat down to do something about, get a refund, and that's what I got from PPal, a lot of COVID this and that, but really, if you didn't get your stuff, you should get a refund. No tracking or comms from seller ever.

Sooo, watch it out there. In the middle of a lot a weird uncertain stuff, but this is no time to get ripped off.

If this was a $600 guitar, I'd be totally freaked out.

Luckily I ran out of room in the house so i had to quit buying guitars. Unless they're skinny, I can still fit a couple more electrics ;-[)

I'd like to sell twenty guitars, probably not a good time right now.

Damn, stuck with all my guitars...

These days, I only use Paypal with places I've done business with before. I've heard some horror stories about them, but never had any myself.

Did you contact Mercari? I believe they don’t release funds to the seller until you’ve acknowledged receipt.

PPal refunded today, just scared me, but they can string you out, or even completely refuse to do refunds in some cases claiming the item has been delivered.

I won't send or buy from a private party using PayPal unless I know them like the good folks hear otherwise it's reverb or some other major type store that has protection .
