Confused here..

Hans says:
It's from 1986, but it is not a 'Westerly Collection' model even though it was made in Westerly!

chasmo says:
Greg, this thread is for Westerly series (made overseas), not for Westerly, RI guitars.
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Im gonna go with the former.
... and the label inside guitar Made in U.S.A> Westerly R.I.

we all agree on 1986... question...

wasn't the D-212 renamed the D-25-12 in 1986, Hans?

The 'Westerly Collection serial number decoder' is for Westerly Collection guitars that are not made in the USA. Your D-212 is not part of the 'Westerly Collection', which was introduced long after your guitar was made.

And the D-212 was renamed D-25-12 during 1987.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

@Greg Feo : The "Westerly Collection" models were only introduced in year 2015 and are all made in China. So you simply posted your serial number question in the wrong thread.

Here was Guild's press release:

And if you read post #1 of this thread here you might understand why this was the wrong thread for your question about a made in USA guitar.
