She did that (and a bunch of others) at her recent show this past November in my hometown, and I've got to say that it was the best show I saw in 2023. Just an incredible display of musicianship from her and her entire band. Some kind soul made a very high quality (for an audience tape) of the whole show that's still up on YouTube.

I'd be happier hearing that on the radio - a great version! But I, too, am feeling a little creeped out by the whole thing. The bass player in particular makes me nervous.

Like Bridget Kearney in Lake Street Dive, Shelby Means is a bass goddess!

I'm a sucker for girls that play upright bass.

In a thread from long, long ago I mentioned that "White Rabbit" (Jefferson Airplane version) was one song that always had me turning the volume up to eleven. I think I might crank this one to twelve. The acoustic instruments really work for me - I love "unplugged" rock classics.

Let see if I can wreck that for you ;) I playing very briefly in 1992 with an amazing Alt/Punk/Hippy singer in an original band. Late at a MUCH to smokey rehearsal, she asked if we could put a couple covers together (this and Jerusalem from Sinead O'Connor). A few bars in I realized through the haze I was rushing... and owned it (and my drummer partner in crime pushed me along laughing the whole way).
