That's a very high serial number for an X-170 so I will say it was made in 2001, the last year for that model.

@GGJaguar Hi Greg, how close to accurate can we date this serial # (month, day, year) and is there a printout or ledger from Guild that reflects this? I'm asking since it was listed as a late 1990's which we know is not the case. Thanks as always.

The only ledgers we know of are in the possession of Hans and he doesn’t share the actual ledgers, but usually will tell what he can discern about individual guitars.

@hansmoust Hi Hans, if you're able to shed some light on this that would be great. Per my NUGD the guitar came with a owners booklet dated 2002 so I'm assuming that's when the guitar was built. The actual serial # is: AK171528

Hello louisjames,

Your X-170T is from 2001. The 2002 date on the owners manual means that the guitar was not shipped out earlier than 2002, which in itself is not unusual.
