Agree 100% Walrus. And always wonder what he thought about the increased protection of QB. He didn't have the quick whistle or rules to spare his body.

My first memories of the NFL, are watching football on Sunday afternoons with my Grandfather on a 19 inch B&W television in the family room. Often times it was Bart Starr and the Packers or Johnny Unitas and the Colts. This would have been the mid-60's. Quarterbacks called there own plays back then, and Bart Starr called his own number on the famous end zone dive against the Cowboys to win the Championship in the "Ice Bowl" (1967). Vince Lombardi is quoted as saying... "OK. Run it. And let's get the hell out of here!"
