That sure seems to be the case! Got the same comment when I dropped it off today. When I took off the nasty looking strings that were on it and cleaned all the tarnish off the tuners, I began to wonder if those strings had ever been changed. + It was a bear to remove the bridge pins- even with a pin puller (... I ended up having to pull them with a pliers :neglected:). When we checked inside with a lighted mirror, we could see that the bridge plate hasn't got a mark on it.
Replacement pins are a nice set of bone pins with brass encircled, French-eye abalone dots. Figured that after being "shut-in, bound and gagged" all this time, she needed & deserved the full Spa-treatment. :victorious:
