6EU7 is 6.3 volt only, but the heaters on a 12AX7 (ECC83) can be wired as either 6.3V (parallel) or 12.6V (series) . Internally they are the same but the pin out is completely different.

cool! might get repair guy to do that for 12ax7. The cost of those 6eu7s is madness here in Canuckland.

Like POD said, 12AX7s are almost always wired for six volts. That being said, don't change them out unless you need to.

A YouTube search reveals two other groups using the same name. A doo-wop group from the late 50s and a SF punk group from the 90s. However, they did make it onto I’ve Got a Secret, this time T-Bird equipped.
