1960s x-150

Hello
I am a new member. I just yanked my x150 out of the closet after 20 years and didn't realize what a following it has. I have some finish issues, and the edging is coming off. Anyone know techniques for repair of edging, restoring the finish, best strings, etc... HELP ITS TIME TO START PLAYING AGIAN.... It has been a long time since the Clay Cole Rock and Roll show on Broadway and playing backup at Palisades Amusement Park.

Welcome, and it never too late to start pickin' again. I'd love to see pics of the guitar... what year is it? Folks here can help you date it if you're unsure.

The edging, or "binding" can be tricky to replace/repair. I don't know where you are located, but usually that is a professional repair job. Fortunately the guitar you have is well worth the effort of bringing it back to life, so you might want to get a few estimates if you are in a metropolitan area and have access to some good luthiers. Finish issues on older guitars are not usually of much concern unless it's really bad or you are a collector.
