I like that question. Wouldn't surprise me at all given all the crossover in electrics and A/E's.

Both the B-50 and the F-612 are 18" across the lower bout, but I believe that big bass guitar
is slightly deeper. Was watching a video of Jack Casady playing one while accompanying
Jorma Kaukonen....that is one big instrument. Maybe someone out there with a B-50 can confirm this.

Great guitar. I've heard about these over years, but never had the opportunity to play or even see one. When we were discussing guitar weights....wonder what that Big Boy would tip the scales at? Thanks for sharing....

There's a youtube video of a luthier playing this guitar over in the AGF, referenced in that thread on Hans Brentrup's latest work.

It looks pretty dang unwieldy.
