I have a particular fondness for the 70s Guild acoustics. I have a few, have owned a few more, and have rebuilt a few more than that.
Those that survive this long often need some intervention of one form or another.
Yours was another timely post, Greg. I have used that photo in an article I am working on. I have been asked repeatedly to write about my understanding of neck block shift and soundboard shear, which the photo, above, is yet one more great example of. This is an issue that is most definitely not limited to Guild nor is it limited to the 1970s.
