Hello Teeje-o,

Welcome! The pickups that are on your guitar were added at a later date; did you get the originals with the guitar?
Maybe you should check the back-side of the pickups to see what they are; they could be anything.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Does the locking nut drive you crazy. It does on my Ibanez Artist. I have for the Bluebird but not sure I want it on.

I will check, second owner is excellent luthier in Westerly. Thank you. Tony Jarvis
Nice! I'm waiting on this one to ship to me

That red is gorgeous color, my first choice but friends wife scooped it for his Christmas present. The neck on it is great.

The white one originally had one, but I guess the previous owner didn't need/want it. If you're not going crazy with the Kahler vibrato you may not need one either.

Since the locking nut was removed the 1st and 2nd string needed a little down-pressure behind the nut, so a string tree was added there.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Thanks, the white is sharp too! I put mine on lay-away a couple weeks back. I was torn between a LP type single cut & a Super Strat to add to my 68 Starfire V and recent MIM Tele. I'm a bassist that mainly plays a 7 string tuned like a guitar (octave lower with a low B)... and took guitar lessons early on (and again recently) to better my theory and composition skills.

I wouldn't consider myself a player as much as a "beer pocketbook"collector. Good choices, I think the BB plays as well as my 89 Strat Plus. Actually an easier player. My lessons are more of an hour's conversation with a very talented guitarist who spoon feeds me tidbits of techniques.

Looking for information/background.
Oct 1, 1985 price list:

This is from the 1986 catalog:

Somehow the two pickup version was not mentioned but as you see in that price list there were many options.

I have all the original parts, pick-ups, locking nut, sell sheets, promo literature, invoices etc. This had stayed local with just 2 excellent previous owners.
