I see a listing on ebay today for a 1995 Guild D-26.
I've not heard of these!
Like a D25 but fancier? (Gold appointments, really interesting Mahogany sides/back/neck – golden in color).

Trés nice!

Rare? (I'd assume so.)
Valuable?
Any insights?

On the Guild website the D26 model is listed as being made for a short period, from 94-96, if I'm reading it right. Does it have an arched back? I don't see any braces on the pic of the inside, but it's a pretty limited view. The wood on the back looks very light in color -- wonder what it is? Others with more knowledge will chime in I'm sure, including Hans I hope?
Nice looking git, for sure.

"I really do appreciate your thoughts on the matter. However, this guitar really is a Guild D-26 according to the label and the serial number. Based upon the very limited info I have, there were only 457 of these made in 1995. This was the only year of production. The wood on the sides and back is definitely not mahogany, as it does not have any of the reddish brown tone associated with that variety .... Looks more like walnut with a meduim brown grain and then an almost golden oak tone. Yes, I agree that this guitar does sound amazing, and has the projection of a jumbo. Any and all help is welcome!"

Found the info above on another forum. The mystery thickens.

Edit:
See this thread. The answer was here all along: http://www.letstalkguild.com/phpBB2/vie ... dd3d5abf80

There was a gorgeous D26 listed on Gbase forever. I tried to talk everybody into buying it. Finally, I convinced a member here. I think he likes it.
