Hi Folks,
I'm a relative newby here on this great forum. I have a question if you don't mind. I recently acquired a 1998 F-30HG that I'm loving. I'm curious though, what is the top wood? Is it sitka or red spruce? I had the impression that older F-30s had red spruce, but I'm not sure about this later version. Any info appreciated.
Thanks much,
Rob

I thought even the old ones were Sitka ? Mind you my '70 probably has more glue and cleats on the top than spruce anyway....

I thought so too, but Hans or his book would be more qualified to answer that than me.

You're probably right. On the website the current F-30 lists red spruce. I probably just got confused, which happens frequently. :?
