I used to get pictures like that when the winding mechanism didn't advance properly in a film camera.

My universe seems to get a little small and focused too.... just a good way for me to stay in the here and now... or maybe it's the then and there... not really sure. But it keeps me from going off the deep end. Mostly. 8)

I can relate to that.
If I inspired that wonderful photo, it had to be on the subliminal level.....any way it came to be. :D I love it!

Grot showed me how to grab a photo with my computer, and that is one I'd like to have a 5x7 of right near the computer here. That Ok?

Love the avatar Stef. Wonder what galaxy that is? Springtime happens to be the best time to view galaxies through a telescope (or a guitar  )

I looked up your galaxy NGC 3370 and its smack dab in the middle of Leo (which is chocked full of galaxies). Leo happens to be positioned perfectly in the southern sky now. I probably have spotted it before but it took a 10" telescope lens :) !

We are pretty small when it comes down to it...yet about half way between the smallest and the largest 'objects'...amazing stuff....and those photos....wow....I remember being blown away by images from the scanning electron microscope when they started coming out, back in the 70s and remember one Doc saying now we're trying to figure out what we're looking at...... Steffan

Not really that hard to grasp John, if you see the interplay, it comes down to this. Any object takes up all time and space, simultaneously. What happens when you add both sides of a sine wave together...nothing, ultimate receptivity for creation to manifest, just add motion and energy..... (we're talking the physical creation, right?) Steffan

 That's the thing about the concept of 'the infinite'.....it's omnidirectional...it goes 'out' and onward to beyond space, as well as "inward", beyond the smallest of the small.
A hard concept to grasp.

.......and what would you grasp it with, plus what would you do with it if you did......darn good thing its a hard thing to grasp....I'm just grateful these days, if I happen to learn something, thats good too....
