Seller on Reverb says "Dual Franz single coils with that killer bristling tone. Microphonic but you can't hear everything."

What does "you can't hear everything" mean?

No telling. I think that might be a little overpriced with that amateur hour refin. At least it looks relatively salvageable (not stained or sanded all to hell), but I think it's priced about right for one in its condition with a good pro-quality refinish.

Microphonic Franz pickups are pretty common and easy fix. Look up the wax potting mixure for pickups and simply redo them. I keep an old coffee can with the wax blend inside and ready to go just in case.
Just make sure you don't dip them in the wax with the cover on. Just apply the single ciol bobbin.

I'm not a potential buyer, just wondering about the comment. After the comments above and a little more Internet searching I think I now know a bit more! Thanks!

I think what the seller probably means is they're somewhat microphonic, but not wildly so. "You can't hear everything" meaning that they're not so totally microphonic you could speak into them like a PA. Honestly, slightly microphonic pickups can be a lot of fun, but, in a hollow body, they can be pretty unwieldy in a stage volume setting. In a home/recording setting, they can accentuate pick/attack dynamics in a satisfying way.

Maybe he wants to day that it does not pick up everything. So microphonic but not too extreme.
A few years ago I there was a vintage guild m 75 in my local guitarshop that had the same issue. They wax potted the pu and this issue was solved. Tone was still very good after the repair.
