64 Jet-Star

Here's a pic of my 64 Jet-Star. This guitar was used alot and has a great sound. An old friend left this at the house one day and never wanted it back. We used it alot back it the 70's. I took the original wine red finish off years ago.

Why did you remove the finish?

I really can't recall- I think it was just for the hey of it. It was a very long time ago when they first came out with the spray-on removers. The tuners had been replaced also so its not all original but the more I look at it now I feel it was a great design. You can just lean it up against the wall and not worry. SG shape is much more generic after looking back 40 years.
