Very pretty. Sort of out of my budget, though.

A little late making that decision to do it, but I'm glad they're doing something for the 70th.

I hope they make (and sell) all 70 of them. Quite beautiful, and nice choice to do it on the D-55 bones.

The Adirondack top will make this quite a different sounding beast from a D-55. AFAIK, there was only one other case (I think it was the Brazilian rosewood anniversary model) where they used Adi... Did I get that right? Or, maybe it was a GSR.

Sure gets your attention but Richard has a better selection and better prices.
However, bet some forum members buy one - I would but my "rathole" money has been dwindling. I have nothing I want to sell to scarf up their price -- right now.

I seem to remember @richardp69 having an Adirondack topped D55 from New Hartford, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a GSR, and I'm not sure how many were made.

Inflation quotient is in operation here. Otherwise, it's no more than the 50th anniversary model which was also a D-55 with brasilian rosewood. I owned one, but was underwhelmed. Except for bragging rights, I don't see the reason to buy this one. The marketry on the back ain't nothing new.

🥲 Oooh la la that is pretty, I like that, would love to take that for a spin. For me it’d be tough to drop that much on just one guitar though, but I’d also like to do it and be one of 70, jeez, thankfully that temptation doesn’t win out lol.

Very classy. I bet the Adi/Madi combination sounds fantastic. I wonder what the street price will be ?
