Actually a Jersey Shore boy.......moved to Philly after college. I think every major guitar shop in Philly (and some smaller ones too) were Guild dealers back in the 70's , 80's, 90's. Zaph's, Medley, 8th Street, Cintioli's, and Music City always seemed to have a nice selection of Guild electrics and acoustics.I would imagine with a Philadelphia name like guildadelphia, you were

Howard Herbert Music was a little neighborhood shop in Northeast Philly and was a Guild dealer. Howard Herbert, the owner, was a great old time chord melody player and I remember him showing me his personal guitar....an Emerald Green Starfire III w/ DeArmonds, a Guildsby and a Melita bridge. Mr. Herbert actually knew the guy who designed the Melita bridge, Sebastiano "Johnny" Melita who was also from Philly.
