Does anybody have any tips for an LP-style guitar (in this case, Eastman, but I had the same trouble with my Heritage). So whenever I get a new guitar, and this one came ripe with strong odors/scents of an oil that I have yet been able to tame (both on it, and the case!). In any event, when I am wiping around that area, no matter how careful, or cautious I am, I always seem to bump those areas with my cloth, or rag. I now realize of course, that I should be using the smallest/thinnest one possible, and not the reverse of that! Would you recommend some kind of tape? Or do people have other ways of getting around this? It was recommended to me by the shop to clean it daily multiple times, and etc.~ / Which has as of yet, a matter of weeks, if not more like a month - done very little to reduce - I've even got some brand new packs of silca gel (big ones) in the neck case compartment. Wouldn't even know I'd added them, otherwise, as there was a "suprise," rolled up in there as well - that produced a good deal of the scent! As well as various 'seeds,' found hidden within the creases of the bottom of the case, where the side meets the, well I guess bottom... oy vey?
