Elrod, I notice one of your axes was stolen. Is there a national registry for stolen instruments?
I posted it on Mandolin Cafe & other places; I don't know of one catchall registry. Actually, 2 were stolen, but one was recovered 2 days later, due to the assistance of a Guitar Center employee & the manager. I'm receiving $40 some dollars a month for the next three years for "restitution" for the rest of my losses, while the girl who tried to sell my mando is on probation, after not cooperating with the "investigators".Darryl Hattenhauer said:Elrod, I notice one of your axes was stolen. Tol' yuh it were a good'n!TonyT said:Took it to my luthier to get an end pin today(cause I ain't drilling any holes in anything). He just took out the screw down by the tailpiece and screwed the endpin in. Duh. No charge. I asked him what he thought of it. he played it for a minute and said if I ever want to sell it, he'd buy it. Cool.
