Yes!
There was a limited quantity GSR Starfire I bass and GSR Starfire II bass run done in New Hartford end of 2012.
Only 11 GSR SF-1 and 9 GSR SF-2 were produced. (GSR=Guild Special Run).
A few are still available:
SF-1:

And there is the new Guild Starfire bass , just introduced at NAMM last week!
It will be a unlimited run, produced in Korea for Guild (a correct copy of the old one, FMIC sent an old one to the factory in Korea (SPG) and asked them for an almost 100% copy without changing anything (no change in dimenison or material was allowed), the pickups are done for Fender by another factory (a close supplier to SPG) in Korea, also a 100% copy of the original pickups, same wires, magnets,...), see:

Here is a demo video of the new bass:

If you talk acoustic bass, there is the B-54CE Standard:

If you buy new make sure to buy from an authorised (!) Guild dealer in order to get the Guild warranty.

Just to add to Ralf's post, the best information available suggests that the Newark Street Starfire Bass will not actually be in dealer's hands until March 2013. They are only going to 40 dealers initially and Guild dealers have to commit to the Newark Street line to get them so it is quite possibly that your local dealer (if you are lucky enough to have one) won't have one and won't be willing to order one (because they won't commit to the whole line). MSRP is $1600 according to Guild so street price will probably be $1000 and change. Rumor suggests they may be available in finishes other than red "in the future" but who knows when the future will arrive? No credible rumors about whether a Starfire II bass will be produced. Personally I think modeling the Newark Street on a '65 (to early '66) configuration Starfire I was a brilliant marketing move. The "sweet spot" PU position is relatively rare in the vintage market and preferred by people who have tried it both ways.
