Just one right now, that I purchased this last fall -- 1979 D-25.

The intent is to find a used made in USA 12 string dread in the future sometime......there's other stuff to spend money on first however.
I have two vintage electrics, one classical Madeira, and a no-name acoustic from Sears my parents bought me for Christmas over four decades ago that sits stringless in its case in the corner. The only guitar I ever play (sometimes at gigs but mostly at home) is my 1979 D-25 I bought used almost 20 years ago. If I buy another Guild, it'll be a 12-string.

I have a couple very nice Martins and an Epi J45 that I have upgraded but my only Guild is the 53 yr old D35 I picked up recently. A few years ago I had a D40E.

My D-40E is my only Guild. I do have an Eastman E6D-TC and a Martin D-10E, neither of which gets much play time since I got the Guild, and I may part with one or both of them. I do need a backup, though, in case something goes sideways on a gig.

I don't have three Guild acoustics, just the 70 D 35, and now three others that until I bought my SCGC, I would rotate. It's been close to three months now, and all I've been playing is my Santa Cruz. I got my Guild out yesterday, and I still like it, still the Santa Cruz is compelling. I've been waiting for the new to wear off, so far it's not happening. In fifty years of playing, I've never had this happen. I suspect it would have been the same had I bought the 39 J 35 that gave me the same feeling ten years ago. It has turned a lot of guitar beliefs upside down.

You can't compare a Guild D35 to a SC dread. I mean you can, but they are just not in the same realm. Having owned one.

Completely different leagues. I know as well, having owned a SC. Now owning a few Collings. Frono said it well a while back and I don't remember precisely how he put it. They are completely different guitars, different builds catering to a different clientele. As much as I love my Collings guitars, at some point each week, I HAVE to sit down with my DV72. Guild guitars are incredible for what I personally think they are, and that is the most consistent mid priced guitar on the market. I can't speak to Cordoba built guitars, but the Westerlys in my opinion were more consistent than just about anything in the price range.

I bought my F-50NT back in 1974, and it has been my faithful companion ever since. Lately, I've gotten some shoulder discomfort, and am awaiting the arrival of my 2nd Guild, an F5-rce. I can hardly wait!
Wow that’s really going from one size and weight reality down to another. The F5 is much lighter and a more than manageable size. I have an F5 and F4. I use D’Addario EJ26 .011-.052 phosphor bronze on both. Easy player and sound great finger style.

May be odd, but I seem to be gravitating to my NH F47R as opposed to my NH D55...
I don't find this odd at all. Yes, to me somehow a dread (especially a rosewood dread) is "the" acoustic sound, I adore my New Hartford F47R. It is one of the three or four guitars I'm planning to take to the studio later this summer to see which records best.

Hi Montana, welcome aboard! Yeah, I think you'll like the body shape. F-bodies actually ride a little lower because of the narrower waist. My F65ce's (16" lower bout like the F5) my go-to for comfort, I would get fatigue between the shoulder blades with a dread.

Btw, no snark intended, but the model would actually be "F5ce", as the F5's were rosewood body by definition.

Guild only used the body wood call-out when the model was available in different body woods, like the F30 and F47 most particularly.;)
