Anyone using a wireless system for guitar or bass (non-tabletop transmitter/receiver versions, just the 2 plugs ins for guitar and amp)?

Haven't tried it at too far from the amp yet. But tried it going to a DAW and it got some noticeable latency depending on what kind of guitar and what kind of pickup. It seemed the piezo pickups on acoustics were worse than magnetic pickups. No noticeable latency with guitar to amp at 20' to 30'.

Most of that has to do with the speed of sound rather than the latency of the unit. Speed of sound is roughly 1000 feet/second. 80 feet gives you ~80 milliseconds of latency. The wireless, around 5-20 milliseconds.

Yep, my bass player would use wireless and walk around the club. When he'd get far enough from the stage, I could hear him fall slightly behind the beat. Drove me nuts

That's why you need in-ears! Now your sound can travel at the speed of light, too!

Joyo jw-03 on the way.

Tried the Swiff Blackwing today. Returning. Hisses when playing notes, like some kind of gated signal sound. If I walk about 10 feet away I can barely hear the hiss though. No latency detected though. So that was good at <2ms rated. They were real nice otherwise. Too bad. Sure was sweet to not have a cable!!

Hopefully the Joyo will work out!
