Billy Strings/Willie Nelson "California Sober"

Here's a new video out for a few days now with Michigander Billy Strings with guest vocals by Willie Nelson.



If you're unfamiliar with Billy Strings, he is quite the flat-picker on acoustic guitar. He is from my home state of Michigan where I saw him a few times in really small clubs playing with mandolinist Don Julin. Now Billy is a Grammy winner selling out arenas and places like Red Rocks and on a world tour. Local small town boy hits the Big Leagues. Good on him !!!

Not from Michigan, but have been up to the Porcupine MNTN Music Fest a few times . . . I'm pretty sure I saw Billy there before he hit it big. What a play. California Sober is a hoot for sure - lots of talent on those strings.
