I can also attest that the F30 STD I picked up last year has very nice wood. I don’t know the exact species of mahogany but it sounds terrific. On the harder attacked songs it stays clean and rings true. It’s the perfect complement to a rosewood OM.

FedEx box was delivered 30 minutes ago. But gotta let the box and Guild contents acclimate to my home temperature, 24 hours  unless I make up some stupid rationale to open it earlier. It shipped thru some cold weather. I have experienced the spider web finish checking that can occur due to cold weather shipping. The finishes on Eastman guitars are particularly sensitive to finish checking. I just sold an old Martin 000-42 imitation gorgeous 12 fret Recording King, it has finish checking all over the sound board, but it actually looked handsome on it, like grey streaks of hair on Sean Connery, with the golden silking sitka and the abalone bling. But the neck was 1 13/16" like a bulldozer to me, so the sale of it funded this F-30R.

Yeah, Billy, go slow. I waited 12-24 to open the box and take out the HSC, and then another 12-24 to open the HSC. The latches should not feel cold to the touch.
