Hi!

I have a F-240E coming hopefully this week from Guitar Center. I don't have a case for it but I do have an oversized gig bag I could use temporarily but I'm concerned about humidity (or lack thereof) in my home. Years ago I left my Alvarez out on the stand and it developed a humidity crack from the bridge down to the bottom edge of the guitar.

So I'm looking at primarily or three lower-priced cases ... the Gato GW-Jumbo, the Road Runner RRMAJBO or to save a few dollars, the ProRock Gear Artist Series Jumbo. Again, I'm very easy on my guitars and I don't gigs so I'm really more after humidity protection that protection against bumps and dings.

Yes, I would be worried too, and that's usually what I do. But I don't believe if you live in a dry area then I always keep them in their cases and humidified. And I don't believe gig bags to be sufficient at sealing things off. Perhaps you could put a large garbage bag around it? Though I don't even know... You could see if Guild will sell you one of the oem cases for their M-20, if that's close enough? I don't know if the only difference would then be the arched back, or not? I'd contact a dealer if I could, and get them to test a fit out for me if they had any cases on hand that they might think would work. Or if you know how to take the measurements, you might be alright equally well there. Or you'd have to get a humidifier and keep it in the same room as your guitar when it is stored.

For what it’s worth, I tested out a Guild gig bag for how well it retains humidity, compared against an OHSC and surprisingly, the relative humidity inside the gig bag stayed very close to what my hard shell case next to it read inside so they do alright.

Saw this one, and it should do the job just fine if your demands aren't too stringent.

The M-20 has a Lower Bout Width of only 13 3/4", so a F-240E with a Lower Bout Width of 17" would for sure not fit...You would need a jumbo case (anything fitting a F-50, F-55, F-512, F-1512E, F-2512E,...)
And the Guild cases are not in the price range he is looking for if I understand post #1 right.

You could run a humifier and place it somewhat near your guitar.

If you store it in a gig bag and add a large 49% Boveda pack or another humidifying device, that should also do. You can add multiple as well, they do 2 way humidity controls so it won't get too humid.

It will fit in any guild jumbo case, at least mine did. It might be snug in some other brand’s jumbo case though, mine was just over 17 inches at the lower bout and normally 17 inch guitars are just under that measurement, at least in my experience
