The case I have for my Capri is too snug - the original case is long gone. Does anyone know of current cases that fit well. It appears that the case for the current Starfire might fit ok. Sweetwater suggests a Gator case that looks way too deep to me.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Thanks for your replies. Yorkville cases look nice - looking to see if I can find one that fits.

That's too bad. I was hoping and thinking that Guild would have quality cases.

I would try a case made for a Gibson ES-175. It has similar dimensions. TKL makes a nice one. In fact, the Guild website still shows a CE-100D page that lists TKL as the maker of the hardshell case. Call TKL and see if they can help. Guild web page for CE-100D and TKL case for ES-175

Thanks - I like TKL cases and will contact them. The one for the ES-175 has the same dimensions as my current case. Too snug on the lower bout and I am having issues with the case fur sticking to the finish on the binding. Its a 1959 all original so I am trying to keep it nice.

You might look at Gretsch reissue cases — they’ve got quite a few 16” bodies with a shallower depth, so they might be a better fit than an ES-175 case.

Yeah, but Gretsches have a smaller upper bout, so there might be an issue there. I bought a 16" case from Archtop.com that fits pretty well, except the depth is a bit more that a Capri needs. You will have to put some padding undeneath. Looks like they are out of the standard.

My Capri lower bout is almost 16.5" so the 16" case create a too tight fit. I have a used Guild 17" case on the way - will let you know how it fits. Thanks for the help, all.

Good luck with the case you bought.

Just a heads up generally speaking, avoid Gibson cases for Guilds. the headstock area is generally too small, try an Epiphone instead. Gibson cases can be a little too snug also, whereas Epiphone cases seem to fit Guilds better, overall. Same with Martin cases actually, headatock area too small, case to snug, most of the time, for Guilds.

Also try Guardian Cases. They have listings of measurements so you can get a really close fit.

I've read that they're priced reasonably and are decent quality cases, but I have no personal experience.

Case arrived. It fits my Capri nicely. A bit deeper than needed, but that's ok. It is reportedly a case for a X175. Its in new condition and was a good deal.
Thanks all.

Would please post a picture of the guitar in the case?
